This fun piece has a bunch of unique elements to it. The name comes from the burned Doug fir used in the mountains. The burning process, which involves burning the wood and then brushing the char away, leaves an interesting texture to the wood and enhances the natural features of the grain. The 2 side mountains feature Morado ( bolivian Rosewood) and the center piece has an extra large cut of Padouk. The sun is made from a piece of Myrtle and the background has been stained to create a sunset sky. it has a hand made from made from Sycamore.
